The author says “with the blood of the victims still wet on the ground, people jumped to politicize the event”. But people don’t need to “jump” to politicize something that is inherently political. The decision to murder 59 people and injure over 500 others is not somehow “non-political”, it is the ultimate in politics: making the decision to end someone’s life is about as political as it gets, whether it’s mass murder or the death penalty, or a declaration of war. This statement about “politicizing” an “event” is code for “I love guns”. Apparently there is no appropriate time to discuss gun control because the weaklings who depend on them for their false sense of power and self-worth have no realistic argument against it. Every time one person shoots another these people are complicit in the commission of a crime.
